Rosanna Tufo is a Senior Advisor at Levin Sources. Joining us in November 2018, Rosanna brings significant sustainability, development, responsible business and corporate social responsibility experience to the company. Rosanna supports clients large and small in achieving their responsible sourcing ambitions through supply chain due diligence, human rights and risk assessments, and aligning activities with international standards and bespoke frameworks to strengthen up and downstream mechanisms. She project-managed the USAID-funded Commercially-viable and conflict-free gold from Eastern DRC project.
Prior to joining Levin Sources, Rosanna provided corporate responsibility-related services for clients in industrial materials, finance, insurance, food and pharmaceuticals. She developed practical and rigorous research methodologies and has experience in corporate responsibility management processes sensitive to mandatory and voluntary CSR reporting and business and human rights standards and expectations. She is experienced at driving performance and integrating sustainability into a range of processes. She has also worked on community development and youth development while living in Uganda and Mozambique.
Rosanna holds a Master of Arts in Responsible Management from Steinbeis University, Germany, and a Bachelor of Science in Economic and Management from Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Italy. For her Master’s dissertation, she analysed the context of business and human rights in countries in Africa, supporting the thesis for human rights as a key driver of corporate responsibility. She is also a certified SA 8000 auditor and has attended training on Market System Development, a first step towards understanding how the market system development approach applies to the mining sector and specifically ASM.
